Leaves of Morya's Garden - Book 1 - The Call (1924) - 229:
229. Yes, yes, yes, each word of unity is as the seed of some fair flower. To cultivate a garden of beauty is permitted to all. But where are the gardeners who can judge which seed is best? We shall teach them to gather the fertile stalks. We shall pluck out the blighting weeds. And the ground where God has manifested Himself We shall adorn with flowers. But where the flowers of unity are - guard their petals. Yes, yes, yes!

Leaves of Morya's Garden - Book 2 - Illumination (1925) - 2.3.15:
2.3.15. The growth of the works is similar to that of lilies. Near a garden wall one white sister has hidden herself. She has no companions, but the stalks already carry the evidence of new ones.

New Era Community (1926) - 42:
Yes, yes, he, the gardener of the spirit, will know the time of sprouting; he will distinguish the young stalks from the weeds, for he has performed the most hidden labor, and to him belongs the best blossom.

Fiery World - Book 3 (1935) - 554:
554. Despair is called darkness. Such a definition is precise; indeed, it extinguishes radiation and the Fire of the heart grows dim. Such a state is not only harmful, it is unworthy of man; he becomes lower than an animal. It is possible to brave the condition of despair. The most frightful entities employ it. Behind it stalks terror itself. Where then will be the garden of beauty?
