But slander is a devourer of vital fuel, and from the standpoint of goal-fitness must be destroyed. People are usually not aware when they devour energy in excess. In some ways such people resemble vampires. He may feel some pain, but he can also feel the flow of psychic energy that allows him to influence those around him. One cannot say that this state is always harmful, but the boundary line between the proper power and excessive tension is a fine one.
